What to Build
The theme for TechCommons Hacks V1 is Global & Local Impact. Your mission is simple: Build something that helps your community or people around the world. We want to see innovative, tech-driven solutions to everyday problems. Here are a few ideas to spark your inspiration:
-
Community & Connection: Tools to help local small businesses, organize neighborhood volunteering, or improve school life.
-
Global Health & Wellness: Apps or websites focusing on mental health, fitness, or helping people access medical resources.
-
Education & Accessibility: Software that makes learning easier, fun, or more accessible for students worldwide.
-
Sustainability & Environment: Projects aimed at reducing carbon footprints, tracking recycling, or raising awareness about climate change.
What to Submit
-
Project Title & Tagline: A catchy name for your project and a one-sentence summary of what it does.
-
The "Why" & "How" (Text Description): A brief explanation of the problem you are solving, how your project helps the community, and the technologies you used to build it.
-
Video Demo (Max 3 Minutes): A short video showing your project in action.
-
Tip: Briefly introduce your team, explain the problem, and spend most of the time showing a live demo of your working prototype!
-
-
Link to Code Repository: A public link to your code (such as GitHub, Replit, or GitLab) so the judges can verify your work.
-
Link to Live Project (Optional): If your website or app is hosted online, provide the URL so judges can try it out themselves.
