Eligibility

You must be a current middle school, high school or college student.

Project and Submission Requirements

To ensure a fair competition, all projects must meet the following criteria:

 
  1. Fresh Code: The project must be built entirely during the hackathon. You cannot use pre-existing projects.

  2. Working Prototype: Your code should be functional enough to demonstrate your core idea.

  3. Video Demo: A short video (under 3 minutes) walking through what your project does and how it works.

  4. Open Source: A link to your public code repository (e.g., GitHub, Replit).

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Our panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on four equal categories:

  • Impact (25%): How effectively does this project solve a real problem for a community or the world?

  • Creativity & Innovation (25%): How original and unique is the idea?

  • Technical Execution (25%): How well does the code/prototype actually work?

  • Presentation (25%): Is the pitch clear, concise, and easy to understand?
